Salina & Tianyu’s Fairytale Wedding

Salina and Tianyu met and fell in love in graduate school in Boston. After Tianyu graduated, he found a job in San Francisco Bay Area while Salina continued her Ph.D. program in Boston. Two years of long-distance-relationship did not separate them but let them realize they cannot live without each other.

Salina reached out to me when she was still in Boston. We chat a bit through messages and she shared her wedding vision with me in a few sentences. Both of us were so excited and shocked to know that we had not only the same wedding color palette, but also the same wedding venue, including both ceremony site and reception room! This brought my memory back to five year ago when I got married.

Far away from the bustling city, the Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, has the best overlook of the Pacific coastline. Same as my husband and me, Salina and Tianyu knew this was the place where they wanted to get married when they saw the timeless coast. They dreamed to get married in front of the Pacific because the other side of the coast is China, where they were born and originally came from.

Salina is a pink princess, so blush, peach and white was the color scheme. Her bridal bouquet is equally classic and romantic in a perfect round shape. Salina’s dear mom, who flied from China to participate in the wedding, hand-tied the bridesmaids’ bouquets–with full of love. So special and meaningful!

Inspired by the poem “facing the sea, with spring blossoms” by Hai Zi, the floral design with minimal greenery presenting a full blooming yet stylish Looking. Look at the flowers setting on the gold mental stands, every single hanging flowers and greenery was well-designed yet seemed so natural and just right. The garden roses in the hanging glass balls indeed added a fun, vivid, and unique finish touch.

Salina and Tianyu choose “Love Confession” by Jay Zhou as their first dance song: the song Tianyu first sang to Salina when he asked her to be his girlfriend. “My love/just be true/your eyes are whispering ‘I do’.” How romantic!
